Capital grants for microgeneration technologies such as wind, solar, micro CHP etc, plus free technical advice from the Carbon Trust for developers. Grants are available for all sizes of project, from large developments to individual households. Recycle It
Recycle unwanted redundant IT equipment with Recycle-it, a not-for-profit company based in Hulme. They will clean the hardware, repair where necessary and pass on to voluntary organisations both at home and abroad.

Green Streets - Adopt a Tree Scheme
For a small cost, anyone can adopt one or more trees, which will be planted in a suitable position on your street or nearby open space. Includes tree adoption certificate, commemorative tree tag and a location map stating your tree's official number in the Trafford Tree Database.
